Glenn Dale UMC will once again participate in the Hyattsville Area CROP Hunger Walk to benefit Church World Services. This year’s walk will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 1-4 p.m. Please contact Teresa Hill with questions.
CROP Hunger Walks are community-based walk events held in cities and towns across the United States, raising funds to support the global mission of Church World Service, a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster. Twenty five percent of the funds raised in the Hyattsville CROP Walk are returned to Help by Phone, a local clothing and food pantry in Prince Georges County, to support local hunger fighting efforts.
If you would like to make a donation by check, please make the check payable to CWS/CROP. You can either place in the offering plate (please clearly mark it for CROP Walk) or you can give a donation directly to one of the team members.
